maybe Tomorrow

Thursday, February 24th, 2005

Maybe tomorrow I’ll be back.

the Plague

Tuesday, February 22nd, 2005

I won’t be back much at all until this crap leaves.

one day away

Sunday, February 20th, 2005

That’s all I need.
Just one day away from the madness.
Getting close to having one day off from WHT.
I just want one day where I can comfortably not have to log into the forum or helpdesk.
It’s more of a need than a want though. I don’t mind working on WHT daily. But, I […]

Van Morrison

Saturday, February 19th, 2005

Right now, I’m listening to “Into the Music.”
It just blows me away.
I have all the music I’ve been able to find by Van. He is probably my favorite artist. I say “probably” because I love music. It’s really difficult to distinguish a “favorite.”
But, I’ve likely listened to Into the Music” more times than any other […]

the Domain Whore

Thursday, February 17th, 2005

That’s me.
I’m not obsessed with them. I just have a couple hundred more than I need.
I see a domain I like; I buy it.
I think of a domain I like; I buy it.
I think of a domain I think someone else would like; I buy it.
I’ve done that around 200 times too many.
hmmm . . […]

wp-plugin

Wednesday, February 16th, 2005

I love the wp-plugin module.
My only suggestion would be to have authors create a validator.
If they’re making plug-ins for ease of use and for those who are technologically challenged, it would stand to reason that the plug-in should validate that it is compatible with the version of WordPress you’re installing something in.
Is the suggestion based […]

oh Happy oh Valentine

Tuesday, February 15th, 2005

Valentine’s Day Massacre.
Valentine’s Day 1991; I remember it well.
February 14th 1991; another wedding.
Well, isn’t this romantic? To marry on Valentine’s Day.
That lasted about three years.
I’m a Wildebeast, it seems. They only mate for three years; ya know. Which seems to be how long I was married each time.
But, this last one was the last one.
She […]

you can’t please everyone . . .

Monday, February 14th, 2005

An old man, a boy & a donkey were going to town. The boy rode on the donkey & the old man walked. As they went along they passed some people who remarked it was a shame the old man was walking & the boy was riding. The man & boy thought maybe the critics […]

what’s The Point?

Sunday, February 13th, 2005

We use a warning point system on WHT.
People that get points, hate them.
But, I’m happy to say, there are far more people that never receive one point than there are members that get warned.
The point?
Don’t get points.
It can’t be that hard.
If you do get points, accept the fact that you got them. Take them as […]

if Your Web Host

Saturday, February 12th, 2005

dies.
Yes. If your webhost dies; it dies.
The best you can hope for is to have current copies of those backups you promised yourself you’d get around to saving locally.
With so many hosting choices, it’s a difficult decision to make. Which one to choose? Why?
However, even the best of host can take incomplete or corrupted backups […]

thanks Chuck!

Friday, February 11th, 2005

That would be Charles J. Gibson.
His father founded Gibson Appliance. Gibson finally sold out to Westinghouse, last I heard. But, it was still Gibson and still Chuck’s when I worked for him.
I had the privilege of working for this person for nearly two years as domestic help.
I was employed as Butler/Chauffeur. And, in […]

time flies

Tuesday, February 8th, 2005

Started hosting nearly four years ago.
Not that it’s something special. No matter how much I enjoy it.
But, what I just noticed as I was going through invoicing was; we still have our very first customer.
I’m sure, no matter what business, it is exciting to get that first customer.
I’m tellin’ ya; it’s just as […]

AlertBookmarks with AvantBrowser

Monday, February 7th, 2005

I’ve told you how I love AlertBookmarks. I, not only love it, but it has become a neccesity.
I also enjoy AvantBrowser. Only problem is, the two don’t mix well.
Until now.
Here is how to set AlertBookmarks to capture AvantBrowser pages.
First, you have to set up AvantBrowser in Alert Bookmarks under Select Browser.
Open Alert Bookmarks main menu […]

of Updating a Blog

Saturday, February 5th, 2005

Seems it’s been a few days since I’ve written here.
I got kinda stuck because I wanted to share a recipe and thought it was too soon to share another recipe.
But, I was really set on writing about these porkchops I did that are just scrumpdillyishious.
So, then I have to think of an alternate […]

the Apparition

Wednesday, February 2nd, 2005

And still haunted by the memory of a specter I encountered at ages 6-9.
We lived in an old house in a new part of the city.
The upstairs, where most bedrooms were, was where my bedroom was.
There were several dark dreamless nights that I would lay witness to a woman with a green glow. She […]

of Passion

Tuesday, February 1st, 2005

Although I have been playing the guitar for over thirty years, I have yet to master the instrument. I probably know a total of fifteen chords well and have never been interested in learning how to pick one note at a time.
With this in mind, it has amazed me through the years how often I […]
