the SoftWareRevue show

SWR explains, expresses, extrapolates, and explodes.

    Random Pink Floyd:

Home, home again. I like to be here when I can. When I come home cold and tired, It's good to warm my bones beside the fire.

I met a girl on WHT a couple years ago that enlisted my aid because she was under ddos attack.
I (we) couldn’t stand the datacenter she was with, so I advised that she move.
After searching WHT, and going on what I had heard, I suggested she go with dinix. As they were more equipped to […]

Tuesdays are yummy

Tuesday, June 28th, 2005

My Tuesdays away from WHT seem to be going well.
Staff picks it up a notch. And I get to get other things done.
Kinda too hot to be doing much outside though. So I focused on some billing issues and site tweakerage.
This hot weather is cuttin’ in on my baking and cooking times though.
I hate […]

what show?

Sunday, June 26th, 2005

Ever since I got mad and changed the title of this to ‘the SoftWareRevue Show,’ there hasn’t been much to show.
Might be because it’s the weekend and I get quite busy away from the computer on weekends. Or maybe it’s just that there’s nothing going on.
Nothing going on? :eek2:
There’s always something going […]

the King is dead

long live the king
Pistons vs Spurs was an interesting series.
Game seven wasn’t as exciting as I’d hoped. But, what would you expect from the two best defensive teams in the NBA?
With the game tied at the end of three quarters, it left twelve minutes to decide who would wear the crown.
It appears the Spurs wanted […]

google unleashed

I don’t usually list works of Debasis Mohanty, but this was too interesting to not share. Yes, it’s three months old. But I had to get comfortable with it.

Ticking away

the moments that make up the dull day
Until Game Six.
I never doubted that Detroit would retain the championship; until Game Five.
Pistons made mental error after mental error and gave that game away.
If they can’t think on their feet at home, I don’t give them much chance on the road.
Not sure if I’ll even […]

favicon fever

Saturday, June 18th, 2005

I’ve been lazy about that of late.
Someone was bitching that all sites should have their own favicon.
So, I spent a good part of today putting a few together.
Even though I only used them on three sites, it was a lot of work. I don’t think I can count how many I went […]

go figure

Thursday, June 16th, 2005

Game 4 of the 2005 NBA Playoffs will likely go down as one of the most dominating performances ever.
The Spurs scored the first four points. But, it was all Pistons after that.
All Pistons, in all phases of the game.
Not much more to add.
Now; where’s that dancing banana?

I have way too many domain projects.
I think I better sell some.
I’m going to list some here so I can see if it looks like something I can live without. :nervous:

there is no best

Sunday, June 12th, 2005

hmmm . . . didn’t I write about ‘no best’ before?
Didn’t I write about my smoking cessation effort before?
Well, I’m a gonna do it again . . . sorta. :p
I made a decision last month to quit smoking.
But, my goal is not to quit smoking at this time. Right now, my goal is to cut […]

ha ha
charade you are
I just haven’t had a thought on something to write about.
I’ve had a lot going on. But, why write about what’s going on?
Just been preparing to move, in case I choose to move. Been fighting with the cable company over whether my sucky internet connection is because they suck, or I do. […]

on the move

Thursday, June 2nd, 2005

I moved about a year ago because in the country side where my house is, the only available connection was dial-up.
They finally got some dsl going out there.
Dsl ain’t as good as my cable here. But, it’s something I can live with.
So, I’ll be taking the next few weeks to open the country home and […]
