have an STD

STD
STD stand for Standards, and are another subset of RFCs. The intent of STDs is to clearly identify those RFCs that document Internet standards. Once a standard has been assigned a number, that number will not change, even if the standard is rewritten and later issued as a new RFC
The military just seems to make [...]

new blood

We installed some new Liaisons on WebHostingTalk today.
Once upon a time, we had thirty one. For whatever reason(s), we had fallen to twenty one. Now with the new eleven, we’re up to thirty two.
I hope to be at fifty some day.

I blame Mikey

Yes. It’s Mikey’s fault. It’s always Mikey’s fault. Therefore, I blame Mikey for the recent four day gaps in my blogging.
He always reminds me to blog.
But, it seems he went a few days without reminding me.

these boots

I started walking every morning, six weeks ago.
I rather enjoy the solitude of these quiet morning walks.
I had noticed my feet becoming increasingly painful the past year.
So, being the self-diagnosing, self-medicating, fool that I am, finally decided that it must be a problem with circulation.
I spend an extraordinary amount of time at my desk. Besides [...]

death of the SSS

Back a few months ago, when I was plagued by the plague, I abandoned the SSS in exchange for bed rest.
I haven’t been motivated to practice it again.
I used it because it was needed. But, then I enjoyed it and kept it. But, now that I’ve lived without it a spell, I’m not inclined to [...]

rainy days and . . .

It can rain all it wants. Been rainin’ a couple days. But, since I rarely venture outside, it doesn’t affect me much at all. :stickout:
It does cut into my grilling efforts though. I tend to grill a lot in the summer.
I love to eat. So I love to cook. But, I hate heating up my [...]

Renee Boje

I remember reading about Todd McCormick/Medical Marijuana when it first happened. But I never heard of the decision to re-instate charges against Renee Boje and her subsequent flight to avoid persecution until just lately.
I’ve include Renee’s link over there >>>>> under Favorite Sites, because it’s just too much for me to try to explain it [...]

to blog; or not to blog . . .

I’m considering giving up on this blogging thing.
I’ve always been a fairly private person. So, opening up on what I’m up to or, gawd forbid, how I feel, isn’t something I’m very comfortable with.
I first thought I could find a theme, a pattern, a direction to take and make this site about.
Hasn’t happened.
I hate the [...]

it’s not September

But, I don’t think we should remember what it’s all about only on the anniversary of 9/11.
If you have a fast connection (this is a 7mb file) view the tribute.
Never give up. Never surrender. Never forget.

live8

Had the live8 concert on most of the day. There were some really good spots in it.
Signed One.org too.
Of course, this was in between finishing off Jennifer’s server.
At least all her sites are active now and, hopefully, she’s with a better provider. She damn sure couldn’t do no worse.
She’s posted her own words on WHT.

BlackLotus.net

The saga continues.
Got a new server.
Still configuring it and re-creating accounts.
Server was unplugged about fourteen hours ago. Luckily, I had just finished grabbing the last account off it fifteen minutes before it was unplugged.
Although Jeff Lyons thought it necessary to unplug the server immediately after hearing that Jen wanted to move, he doesn’t seem to [...]
